Medford Students Win Charity Furniture Building Contest

Medford Kids Win Charity Furniture Building Contest

For the second straight year, Medford carpentry students are taking home the grand prize in the charity furniture building contest sponsored by Furniture Trust.

The winning team constructed a dining room set and a baker’s rack out of recycled materials like damaged particle-boards. The Medford team, under the supervision of carpentry teacher Joe Grinley refinished and constructed the creative set. For all their hard work, the team takes home $1000 in prize money, and their efforts go towards a great cause.

The competition takes the resulting housewares to worthy causes.
